B Is For Blackbird Blackbird
*Originally released August 12th 2015*
This episode Steve and Doug cover San Francisco chillwave electronica artist Blackbird Blackbird. The guys also chat about the glories of Bandcamp (again), the Bandsintown app, Bobs and Lolo, and Big Lenny.
Music featured this week:
Love Unlimited - Tangerine Sky
Pure - Summer Heart
Heartbeat - Summer Heart
Fog Rolls On - Boracay Planet
9:01 - A few years have passed, and the video of Big Lenny's appearance has come back onto YouTube, because nothing stays blocked forever.
11:36 - Here's a copy of my original Facebook post: 1) Click here 2) Pause at the beginning 3) Mute the video's sound 4) Click here 5) Sync up the start times 6) You're welcome
23:28 - Just a quick word regarding the "PURE" video... there's an epilepsy warning on the YouTube description, so might as well pass that on here. At the time, Steve thought Doug was joking!
26:03 - Sadly Steve hasn't been able to find that promo video in years
46:56 - The only Dream Journal Steve could find on Bandcamp and Soundcloud seem to be a different artist... so we're not sure what happened there. But here's Zoolab's Bandcamp!
Steve's Recommendations:
Modern Disbelief - Halo
Hawaii - Summer Heart
Treehouse - Tangerine Sky
Doug's Recommendations:
Forest Castles - Summer Heart
Fade To White - Halo
It's A War - Boracay Planet
Beasts - Tangerine Sky
