Music featured this week:
Mistadobalina - I Wish My Brother George Was Here
Calculate - Golden Era
If You Must - Both Sides Of The Brain
6:17 - Here's Catey Shaw's Soundcloud; check it out!
7:49 - You've probably seen this video but with a sad melancholic instrumental track playing over it, seemingly criticizing use of electronics as some kind of societal failing. While there's an argument for that, taking the original song out of the video removes a good portion of the message: it's not just about electronics, but a system in place that breeds apathy. It's a fairly directed message towards the American political and commercial system. Watch the video here.
10:51 - Even after a remastering, this G Is For Gorillaz episode is still cursed
32:50 - You better wash your hair if you must, you gotta brush your teeth if you must, or else you'll be funky!
44:58 - Jump The Gut is a classic
1:14:45 - "Dr. Bombay" may be one of the greatest videos in the world
Doug's Recommendations:
