J Is For Johnny Hollow
*Originally released February 19th 2015*
Steve and Doug are joined once again by Nathan Ferguson to discuss Johnny Hollow, the musical project spearheaded by Vincent Marcone. The guys chat about being screwed by labels, macabre art projects, and crowd funding done right. Also Steve tells a story about the dark, crazy history of a certain Russian Monk.
Music featured this week:
This Hollow World - Dirty Hands
Devil's Night - A Collection Of Creatures
Dark Thing - Johnny Hollow
6:02 - Here's the video of Kanye West almost crashing Beck's acceptance of Album of the Year for the 57th Grammy award
6:40 - Steve and Doug are both right here. Listening to West go on about respecting the artistry of music really makes it sound like he doesn't think Beck qualifies
9:52 - Obama calling West a jackass pre-interview is still hilarious
11:13 - DMX just can't seem to figure out how to use Google
35:38 - Again, just to get it in writing, the stories of Rasputin are probably exaggerated and some of the supernatural elements are easily explained these days. The Tsar's son's recovery via telegram could even be the placebo effect
36:16 - The Facts In The Case Of Mr. Hollow
55:01 - Here's that interview with Vincent Marcone on Innerspace
